Red Cross War Memorial Children Hospital G1 Visit
15 March 2016
We visited Red Cross Children's Hospital today to go and spread much needed love, so, Easter eggs, colouring books, games, juice, snacks and soft toys it was.
All the babies also got packs of diapers and a care packet with wet wipes, baby soap, powder, aqueous, feeding sets and facecloths.
We knew that it was two of the inpatient's birthdays this week, so they got their birthday gifts as well, which went down an absolute treat, especially makeup for a young 12-year-old young lady!
The Hospital has finally put up all the beautiful mosaic butterflies from our combined project with the Modaic Association of South Africa, and they do look stunning against the walls as well as outside.
We met mommies and #LittleFighters from East London, George, Sedgefield and even as far as Camaroon! Being so far from home, a Blessing in the form of the gifting we did today, means a LOT to them. Many local Families whom we know by now, was also in the ward today.
We need to DO MORE. We WANT TO DO MORE!
We cannot do it alone. Please get involved, donate product or funds, get your company on board as sponsor, do non-perishable food drives for us, buy one pair of new shoes for our current #BarefootForADay project, support Swim for Hope with a donation, subscribe to our sms line.
There are so many needs we cannot see too due to a lack of funding. Just today, we were asked to provide nappies to two #LittleFighters on an ongoing basis. JUST TODAY. There are 365 days in a year you can do the math.
THANK YOU to those who do get involved, who do donate, who do share our posts and pleas and make it possible for us to do what we do on a daily basis.
Today, and every day, is possible because of YOU.
